1887 N60 Little Beauties Cigarettes Joe Goss SGC A (skinned)
<span style="font-size: 13px;">There are three known boxers in this actresses and celebrities set: Edward McGlinchy, James Mace (aka Jem Mace) and Joe Goss. The Burdick Collection contains an extensive holding of Little Beauty Cigarettes cards in Album 202, but no boxers. These cards are interesting for their construction. Unlike the Old Judge issue, the photo is a different size than the backing board to which it is pasted, like a cabinet card, albeit a tiny one. The “Little Beauties Cigarettes” is printed on the backing board. In 2010 this card of Joe Goss surfaced in a lot of 19th century nonsports cards on eBay. Although skinned, the condition is irrelevant: this card is the only known example of Goss and an N60 has not been offered for sale since this card popped up in 2010 in that eBay sale. </span>
