1889 Fred Archer & Donovan Smoking Pipe
This authentic Victorian clay smoking pipe shows the image of Fred Archer, considered by many to be the greatest jockey ever. On the verso is an image of the Derby winner "Donovan." It is likely the pipe came out in 1889, the year that Donovan won the Derby and three years after Fred Archer tragically killed himself. Jumbo sized, it measures 7" long and rates in EX+ condition.
