1889 New York Base Ball Club Plate
Pennant winning team from 1889 as identified on the top rim of the plate.Pictured are twenty members of the team including John Ward, Roger Connor, Buck Ewing, Mickey Welsh, Tim Keefe, Cannonball Crane, JIm O'Rourke and more. "WHMC" stamp on the back. Condition is VG-EX, a high grade for this piece. There is some crazing but no cracks. One small chip on the lip of the plate has been repaired. An excellent collector's item for early New York baseball fans.
