1896 Baltimore Orioles vs. Cincinnati Reds Program
Historic vintage 1896 Score card of the home Baltimore Orioles versus Cincinnati. The Baltimore Oriole team was loaded, and it won the National League championship that year. All of these names are in the eight-page program: Hall of Famer Wee Willie Keeler, nicknamed "Hit 'em Where They Ain't," hit .386, Hall of Famer Hughie Jennings hit .401, and Hall of Famer Wilbert Robinson, later the famed manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers, for years called "Robins" in his honor, hit .347. Listed in the program for Cincinnati is William "Dummy" Hoy. A deaf centerfielder, Hoy is credited in some sources for causing the increased visible signaling of umpires so that he could understand their calls. Measures 6x9", unscored and VG-EX condition.
