1896 Temple Cup Program Cover
The entire program is so incredibly rare and sought-after that it cannot be had for less than five figures. All we could find when we went looking was this cover for the program, worn but solid, reading, "Cleveland League Ball Club, Temple Cup Official Score Book, Season 1896." What a show it must have been, with players like Hughie Jennings, Wee Willie Keeler, John McGraw, Wilbert Robinson, Jesse Burkett and Cy Young. The Baltimore Orioles beat the Cleveland Spiders in four games this year, avenging a loss against the same squad the previous season.
