1905 Philadelphia Athletics AL Champions Team Silk
This silk is a prime example of a historic textile tradition that would soon die off. The central image which captures the entire championship team and the manager is screened onto a piece of silk. The silk is in G/VG condition with a 1" tear on the top of the silk and some smaller tears around the edge. The central image is in the best shape with only a few minor 1/4 " holes in the silk. Each player is easily identified and their names are listed on the bottom of the silk. This is both an amazing piece of sports memorabilia as well as an incredible example of an historic textile.
