1905 World Series Program at New York (Partial)
The second ever World Series program and one of the most desirable World Series programs of all, approaching $20,000 in condition. Featured the New York Giants versus the Philadelphia Athletics with gorgeous cover shot of John McGraw's best, featuring the great Christy Mathewson dressed New York gentlemen. This program is missing the back cover, yet has the front cover and both scorecards. Total of eight of the sixteen pages, but the binding has become separated on some pages. Scored from Game 4 by the same person who scored the historic 1894 Temple Cup program in this same sale. Nail biting win for the Giants, with Iron Man McGinnity outdueling Eddie Plank, giving the Giants a three-games-to-one series lead. Could be restored.
