1907 Ernst Thayer (Casey at the Bat Author) Signed Letter
Brief typewritten note reading in part, "...I beg to acknowledge the receipt of the very amusing parody on Casey at the Bat which you kindly sent to me some time ago..." Recipient was Jerome Beatty, one of the original writers for Reader's Digest, who had done an article on the famous poem. Page and black ink closing signature from Thayer are as good as new.
