1907 Napoleon Lajoie Original Art by W. Krakau
Wonderful Arts and Crafts style drawing was used for the cover of the “1907 West Side Church League Official Schedule.” Artist signed by “W. Krakau” who used the classic standing image of Napoleon Lajoie holding his trusty bat. Colored inks on paper are in the style of Titanic victim Elbert Hubbard who discovered the Roycroft School. Drawing itself is 6.5x10” and still mounted on the original board which is marked on verso in vintage ink “Made by Waller.” Conservatively EX+.
