1907 "World Champion" Detroit Tigers Souvenir Cap

1907 "World Champion" Detroit Tigers Souvenir Cap

From the early days of Ty Cobb comes this incredible Detroit Tigers “World Championship” souvenir. This miniature paper constructed Tigers cap is the only one known and was made to celebrate the 1907 Tigers “World Championship”, that never happened. Roughly 6” long, this delicate collectible says, “WORLD’S CHAMPIONS 1907” in gold lettering on the dark black brim. On the inside, the original paper label remains and reads, “The Grant Novelty Advertising Co.” and “127 Jefferson Ave., Detroit”. Although we don’t recommend using it, there is even a little string tied into a loop on the back of the cap for display purposes. Extremely rare and very unique, this is truly a great example of early baseball memorabilia.
