1910's Frank Chance Bat (34.5").

1910's Frank Chance Bat (34.5").

We certainly can't make the claim that Chance himself used this bat, but we can't completely rule it out either. The fact is that private citizens could, at the time, order the identical bat used by this Cubs superstar. There is not a hair of difference between this one and those used during his HOF career. Bat has very minimal taper, as was typical of the age, and minimal stamping as well--just the "A.J. Reach" trademark, and the simple block lettered "Chance" on the barrel. And is there a "Chance" that this is the real deal? You bet there is. Vintage grip tape on knob, and illegible writting on knob.
