1910 Horse Racing "Gambling" Pocket Watch

1910 Horse Racing "Gambling" Pocket Watch

An unusual item, this nickel plated keyless-wind pocket watch comes with the rare feature of a horse race gambling game to the reverse, made for the European market. This is a beautifully made watch, made circa 1910. It displays a white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and in bright condition. The diameter is 41 mm, and the crystal is also in excellent condition and retained securely. Movement is a cut three arm gold balance, with hairspring and cylinder escapement and is overall of nice quality, with a cut-away plate. The watch is in non-working condition and requires repair to the cylinder lower balance pivot. Measures 41mm in diameter, and illustrated with actual horses of the day: Sir Geoffrey, Manifesto, Democracy, Turf Ashire and Pertshire.
