1910–1940s Collection of Military Themed Nonsports Cards
Very nice grouping of early to mid 20th century nonsport cards, depicting famous military leaders and war machines. Most of the later cards are in very nice condition. The lot includes: 1) 1910 E1 Breisch-Williams ‘Army’ cards, complete set of 25 (1st ACC set!). Beautiful artwork with detailed illustrations of soldiers from 8 different countries and the U.S. Overall VG, with a few better; 2) 1910 E2 Lauer & Suter ‘Navy Candy’ collection of 7; 2 GD, 2 VG, 3 EX-MT; 3) c. 1920’s W545 ‘WW I Leaders’, strip card group of 17 inc. Churchill. Overall condition GD; 4) 1940’s Pioneer Specialty R160 ‘Victory’ and R167 ‘War Planes’ collection of 14, all nicer grade (EX); 5) 1940 R50 Goudey ‘First Column Defenders’ partial set of 18 (of 24). Bright, patriotic group of cards in nicely balanced VG-EX to EX condition.
