1910s "E - Z Ball" Baseball Gumball Machine
This vintage "E -Z Ball Gum Machine" coin-operated tabletop gumball machine dates from the 1910s. It comes with its original paper sign with colorful baseball graphics reading "Knock a Home Run and get $1.00 in Trade." Manufactured by The Ad-Lee Company of Chicago, the gum machine stands 22" high (including the sign); the machine itself stands 15 1/2" high and measures 7 1/2 x 8" at its cast iron base. It shows some paint loss to the inside decal on the blown glass bowl that holds the gumballs and the celluloid sign is missing, but the paper sign is in nice shape and the machine itself is in remarkable condition. This attractive period piece will make a great addition to your collection.
