1911 C55 Georges Vezina RC - PSA VG 3
Graded by PSA VG 3. Offered is the premier pre-war hockey rookie card, the 1910 C55 Georges Vezina hockey card. Exhibiting bold colors and tremendous print quality front and back, the card also has light, even corner wear, and while slightly centered to the left on the front, the back is perfectly centered. This card displays very well, and is better presented than many higher grade examples, which usually have severe centering difficulties. Georges Vezina was to early hockey what Cy Young was to early baseball, and each had the most popular award for their sport named after them, as the Vezina Trophy awarded to the top NHL goalie. Vezina died at age 39, when he was still the starting goalie for the Montreal Canadiens, the only goalie the franchise had their first 16 years in existence. Tremendously eye appealing example of one of the top hockey cards in the hobby.
