Inspiring piece from the Dead Ball Era is the formal invitation to the 1913 Dedication of Ebbets Field. Emanates from the Nap Rucker estate. Elegantly printed text reads, “The Officers and Directors of The Brooklyn Ball Club request the honor of your presence at the Dedication of Ebbets Field - Bedford Avenue and Sullivan Street, Borough of Brooklyn, City of New York, Tuesday afternoon July the fifteenth, nineteen hundred and thirteen at three o’clock - Brooklyn vs. Chicago.” Wonderful hand-colored graphics of American flags in the corner and raised golden seal at top right. Double matted and framed to 8x10”. Invitation certificate is in Excellent condition.
