1913 World Series Game 4 Ticket Stub PSA VG 3
The 1913 World Series pitted the N.L. Champion New York Giants against the A.L. Champion Philadelphia Athletics. The A’s, led by a pair of dominant pitching outings from righty Charles “Chief” Bender in Games 1 and 4, prevailed four games to one. Philadelphia third baseman Home Run Baker provided the fireworks at the plate by batting .450 and driving in seven runs for the series. Featured here is a ticket stub from Game 4 that was played at Shibe Park in Philadelphia, a game in which the A’s prevailed 6-5 behind the hot bat of Wally Schang who collected two hits and four RBI. The red ticket stub, which measures 1.75” wide by 4.25” high, reads “Game 2B” which indicates the second game (Game 4) played at Shibe Park. The ticket stub has been graded Very Good 3 by PSA and is now nicely encapsulated for safe keeping and viewing.
