1913 World Series Tickets for New York and Philadelphia (2)
Highly collectible Game 1 and Game 3 ticket stubs from the 1913 World Series, a 5-game victory for Connie Mack’s Philadelphia A’s over the New York Giants. This was Mack’s 3rd championship in 4 years and 2nd conquest of Muggsy McGraw, who had no answer for Home Run Baker (who hit .450) and Eddie Collins (.421). Light brown Shibe Park Game 1 bleacher ticket (1 1/2 x 2 1/2") reads "American League Base Ball Club, World’s Series 1913" and has Mack’s facsimile signature ("C. McGillicuddy") at bottom. Orange Polo Grounds Game 3 lower grandstand ticket (2 x 3") reads "New York vs. Philadelphia." Both ducats G-VG very mild foxing, mainly on the blank reverse side, but good sharp edges and corners.
