Nice collection of 24 from the 1914 B18 blanket set consisting of 5 1/4" square flannels issued with several popular brands of tobacco. These flannels were often called blankets because many of these fabric squares were sewn together to form bedspreads or pillow covers. Several color combinations exist for each of the ten teams represented. For example, the embroidered player images were on blankets with either red or blue borders and green corner "bases" with baseball equipment in each box, or brown borders with red bases or light blue borders with purple bases. Players were idenfitied only by last name. This cross-section includes HOFer Stan Coveski, Roger peckinpaugh, Larry Doyle, Ed Konetchy, Jeff Tesreau, Art Fletcher, Slim Sallee, Howie Shanks, George Maisel, King Cole (yes, King Cole), and Bull Wagner -- NOT Honus Wagner. Condition of these rare blankets is VG-EX with a tad of fading asnd some soiling on several.
