1916 Christy Mathewson and "Three Finger" Brown Final Major League Game Ticket
This very rare stub dating back to September 4, 1916 represents the final game of two legendary careers: pitchers Christy Mathewson of the Reds and Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown of the Cubs, both of whom threw complete games in a 10-8 slugfest won by Cincinnati, 10-8. It's not often you see two pitchers combine for 34 hits allowed in one game, but one can chalk that up to either the wind blowing out at Wrigley Field or the fact that the two men were well past their prime. Regardless, this is a magnificent artifact that serves as a terrific commemoration of two Hall of Fame careers. It is in EX condition.
