1917 Cincinnati Reds with Christy Mathewson
This 1917 team photograph of the Cincinnati Reds shows Hall of Fame pitcher and baseball icon Christy Mathewson sitting front and center. Photo measures approximately 11 x 14" and appears to have been hand-trimmed. Lower left corner is loosely attached; upper left corner heavily creased with a 1/2" gash on the edge. "1917" is printed in white on the bottom edge just below Mathewson; "Boellinger 21-W -- Libert" printed in white is cut off at lower right corner. Pencil writing on back identifies some of the players.
