A notable collection of Honus Wagner items, highlighted by a 1917 Real Estate Agreement for purchase of a new home in Carnegie, PA and boldly signed in black ink by Wagner. Approaching the end of his 21-season Hall of Fame career, Wagner was preparing for life in a comfortable home. Ephemera includes modern photos of Wagner’s home, as well as numerous contractor ledgers and invoices related to improvements and renovations to the house, some with specific reference to Wagner. Also included is the wooden Winchester ammunition box in which these items were stored, 9 x 15”, dovetailed, and printed on four sides. Condition of the agreement is Excellent, with a very strong and lavish signature.
