1917 World Series WWI Temperance Advertising Posters (2)

1917 World Series WWI Temperance Advertising Posters (2)

Pair of light cardboard posters, one slightly different from the other. Center is an Underwood & Underwood image that is marked under one, “Fifth Game of World Series, October 13, 1917. Fourth Inning. Nichoff safe at third. Giants even up the Series.” Legend at top reads, “Don’t Die on Third.” Propaganda from “the United Committee on War Temperance” to get people not to drink booze. Predates the Prohibition that began right after World War I. One has missing corner o/w VG (easily restorable); the other (which is marked 1917 World Series) is EX.
