1919 World Series Program at Cincinnati
From one of the most infamous championships in baseball history, this World Series program was produced for a Cincinnati Reds home game in 1919 against the Chicago White Sox. The Reds won baseball's top prize, but it was tainted by the "Black Sox" scandal, which saw several of members of the White Sox conspire to throw the series. The scandal rocked baseball, severely chipping away at its integrity, and the antidote came in the form of Kenesaw "Mountain" Landis, a stern judge who was instrumental in restoring the game's reputation. This beautiful, unscored copy, has had some nearly undetectable professional restoration to its cover, but it is otherwise NM.
