1920's Spalding Figural Baseball Pitcher Trophy
High quality figural trophy from the popular Spalding series retains original unpolished patina leaving it both highly desirable and beautiful. Metal pitcher stands atop a silver baseball with the Spalding logo. Wood base is painted black. This one lacks engraving so we do not know who it was awarded to but that is not important. The importance is the beauty and historical value of this piece. Particularly great patina on the pitcher on top. Black base appears to have been repainted at some point in time. Measures 20" tall. Has some general age wear on a few areas on the base that have been toned in and a small crack on back of wooden base. Actually made by Dieges and Clust but does not have their tag. One in the series done in the 1920's. EX.
