1920 Antwerp Summer Olympics Bronze Medal with Original Case
The Olympics returned in 1920 after the armistice of World War WWI and the Olympic flag was flown for the first time ever. Those memorable Belgian games featured the great Paavo Nurmi and of course our own Duke Kahanamoku. This stunning bronze medal has lovely brown patina and is in overall VG-EX condition. It was awarded for 3rd place but we are unsure of the sport as the medals were not marked as such at that time. Comes in the rare original case which is also VG-EX and has Cooseman's Jewelers name and logo inside. When doves flew.
