1920 World Champion Cleveland Indians Signed Baseball
Despite the death of shortstop Ray Chapman, the Cleveland Indians would go on to defeat the Brooklyn Robins to win their first World Series title in 1920. During Game 5, Bill Wambsganss executed an unassisted triple play, Elmer Smith hit the first grand slam in World Series history, and Jim Bagby became the first pitcher to hit a home run in World Series history. This Official AL Ban Johnson baseball features 10 large signatures of key members of this championship team including Wambsganns, Smith, Tris Speaker, M.L. Gardner, and Jack McCallister. Featured also is the ultra-rare signature of owner Jack Dunn. The baseball has a protective coating and has toned with age. Signatures average 5/10 and are written in ink.
