1923 Original Yankee Stadium World Series Ticket Stub Framed With Vintage Babe Ruth Wire Photo
The House That Ruth Built opened its doors in 1923. On October 10 of that year the Yankees played their first of many World Series games on that hallowed soil. It was against their cross town nemesis the New York Giants. This lot includes an original ticket stub for that game which is in EX plus condition. It is framed along with an original vintage wire photo measuring 8" x 10" in EX condition of Babe Ruth in full swing. The Giants ended up winning that game 5-4. There was only one home run hit in the game, and it was not by Ruth. The winning margin was actually provided by the Giants Casey Stengel.
