1925 World Series Game 3 Ticket Stub PSA EX-MT 6 (Pop 1 of 1 Highest Graded)
Displayed is a ticket stub to Game 3 of the 1925 World Series in which the Washington Senators defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates in the game 4-3. The game was held at Clark Griffith's Stadium before 36,495 fans on Oct. 10th. The Pirates had three future Hall of Fame players in outfielders Max Carey and Kiki Cuyler and third baseman Pie Traynor, and each of the foregoing had an extra base hit, doubles by Carey and Cuyler and a triple by Traynor. Pittsburgh was managed by Hall of Fame manager Bill McKechnie. The Washington Senators had future Hall of Famers in pitchers Walter Johnson and Stan Coveleski, outfielders Goose Goslin and Sam Rice, and infielder/manager Bucky Harris. The Senators Alex Ferguson got the win and the Pirates' Ray Kremer took the loss. Washington's Goose Goslin had the game's lone home run, off Kremer, in the top of the 6th inning, and pitcher Kremer drove in a run with a single. Pittsburgh came back from the 2-1 deficit in games after Game 3 to win the Series in seven games. The clean ticket stub measures 1.25x3.4", and it has been encapsulated and graded PSA EX-MT 6.
