1927 Ernie Orsatti St. Louis Cardinals Contract with Branch Rickey
1927 Uniform Players Contract between Ernest Orsatti and the St. Louis National Baseball Club stamp dated September 8. This was Orsatti's first major league team contract and he would continue to play for the Cardinals until 1935. In that time he played in 3 world series, winning 2. Orsatti was the brother of Hollywood agent Victor Orsatti and would go on to work for him after his playing days had ended. The contract is signed by Orsatti in black ink (9/10) and has Vice President, Branch Rickey's signature in bold blue ink (9.5/10). Horizontal fold creases, some minor creases to the upper and lower left corner, as well as some very minor ink smudges.
