1927 N.L. Champion Pittsburgh Pirates Game Ball
Old Official National League ball came in as a throwaway from a great old-time collection. This one is a quandary, as the ball has obviously vintage writing and appears to be from a Pirates game versus the Boston Braves with a deciding score. However there was no 6-3 score in the regular season. Was it an exhibition? Is it Red Sox instead of Braves? We do not know. Was the fan drinking heavily and got something wrong? We said, we do not know! Pirates players are written in the same printed handwriting including: Pie Traynor, Glenn Wright and Joe Harris among others. As is, a great artifact either way.
