1927 Philadelphia Athletics Team Signed Baseball
Red and blue stitched Reach OAL Johnson baseball signed in black fountain pen by 30 members of the 1927 Philadelphia Athletics. A fantastic team that finished second in the American League behind only the immortal 1927 New York Yankees, this amazing ball contains the “John Hancocks” of eight Hall of Famers and some of the greatest players of all time! Signatures include HOFers Ty Cobb (sweet spot), Lefty Grove, Connie Mack (manager), Zach Wheat, Al Simmons, Mickey Cochrane, Jimmie Foxx and Eddie Collins, as well as Charlie Bates (sweet spot), Chick Galloway (sweet spot), Eddie Rommel, Jack Quinn, Jim Poole, Walter French, Bill Lamar, Howard Ehmke, Dudley Branom, Sam Hale, Joe Boley, Chas Willis, Cy Perkins, Rube Walberg, Joe Pate, Ike Powers, Sam Gray, Ira Thomas, Jimmie Dykes, Kid Gleason, Max Bishop and one other. Ball is an even cream color and grades an EX-MT+, gorgeous signatures average a grade of 8. If a finer example exists, we would like to see it!
