1927 Ty Cobb Twice Signed Photo
Ty Cobb once said, “Baseball is a red-blooded sport for red-blooded man...it’s a fight for supremacy, survival of the fittest”. The first player ever selected to the Hall of Fame, Cobb may have been baseball’s greatest player, if not the game’s fiercest competitor. “The Georgia Peach” is captured in this perfectly centered, clear photo of him on the field smiling in his Philadelphia uniform. The photo contains not one, but two signatures of Cobb, both on the left and right of his image. One signature is in light ink that simply says, “Ty Cobb 3/8/27”. The other darker scrawl says “To George Molbert Jr. Fom This Friend Ty Cobb.” The 7 1/2 x 9 1/2” cardboard mounted photo is in great condition with no bends or blemishes!
