1927 World Series Game 4 Ticket Stub - New York Yankees Win Second World Series Title PSA GD 2

Many baseball followers view Babe Ruth as the baseball G.O.A.T., the pastime's Greatest of All Time, and traditionally, the 1927 New York Yankees are often thought of as the best baseball team of all time. Presented is an opportunity to possess a ticket stub from Game 4 of the 1927 World Series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Yankees, a game in which the Bronx Bombers' 4-3 win at Yankee Stadium enabled them to sweep the Series in four games to win the Yankees' second ever World Series. Simultaneously, the ticket stub recalls baseball's greatest player and the sport's greatest team. That iconic '27 Yankees team had a 110-44-1 regular season record and had its famous Murderers' Row lineup, featuring Hall of Famers Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri and Earle Combs. Other Hall of Famers on the '27 Yankees were pitchers Waite Hoyt and Herb Pennock and manager Miller Huggins. On the '27 Pittsburgh Pirates were Hall of Famers Lloyd and Paul Waner, Pie Traynor, Kiki Cuyler and Joe Cronin. Ruth had a terrific day. He hit a two-run homer off Carmen Hill in the bottom of the 5th inning and also drove in another run with a single. Ruth's home run was his 10th career World Series home run, breaking the record of nine World Series home runs that he set earlier in the Series. The Yanks' Wilcy Moore took the win, but Ruth's heroics were the story of the day. The ticket, measuring approx. 2.25x4.25", is for a $1.10 bleacher seat that was marked "Enter At Gate D," a famous entrance to Yankee Stadium. The ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded PSA GOOD 2. The ticket stub is a fitting memento for the larger than life Bambino and his larger than life powerhouse team, the 1927 Yankees.
