1927 World Series Opening Game Ticket (PSA2)
The 1927 Yankees remain the most legendary team in baseball history, and they capped their remarkable 110-44 regular season with a World Series sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Here's a historic ticket stub from Game 1 of that Fall Classic - a competitive game won by the Bronx Bombers, 5-4 at Forbes Field. No member of Murderer's Row managed to reach the seats that afternoon, but Babe Ruth recorded three hits and two runs, while Lou Gehrig tripled and drove in two to back winning starter Waite Hoyt. The stub is PSA-rated GD.
