His nickname was "The Elastic Wonder," and that's all anyone needs to know about Angel Bosio's unique athleticism. This jersey was worn by Bosio when he played for the Argentinian team during the 1928 Summer Olympic games. The lot includes a magazine with Bosio on the cover wearing a nearly identical jersey, as well as a small medal given to him for an unknown event and a beautiful, early soccer trophy which is also unidentified. The off-white jersey has some rips and stains but is still intact. Thanks largely to Bosio's contributions, Argentina won the Silver Medal that year in Amsterdam. Uruguay won the Gold in a match that would be the precursor to the first FIFA World Cup held two years later in that country.
