1929 Connie Mack Handwritten "Ultimatum" Letter to Howard Ehmke Questioning His Commitment w/PSA & Family LOA
Fantastic content in this handwritten four page letter from Connie Mack to Howard Ehmke during the 1929 baseball season. The letter questions Ehmke‚s commitment as Mack writes, "you probably know as well as myself that all the clubs you have pitched for are under the same impression and that is you can pitch if you wanted to..." Apparently the Hall of Fame manager made an impression as Ehmke went on to win Game 1 of the 1929 World Series less than two months later. Dated 8/11/29 on top in Mack‚s hand, Mack signed letter at the end and the lot comes with a letter from Ehmke‚s niece stating Mack letter was passed down to her. Mailing folds and some staining but writing is very crisp and legible throughout. Comes with PSA LOA.
