1929 Game Used World Series Ball from Game One

1929 Game Used World Series Ball from Game One

Game ball is a special memento from game one of the 1929 World Series, in which Howard Ehmke set a World Series record by striking out 13 batters. Inscribed and signed across the sweet spot: “To A Real Pal from Russell ‘Lena’ Blackburne” and dated, “Oct. 8, ‘29”. On another panel is written the final score of that game – “A’s 3, Cubs 1.” Shellacked OAL (Barnard) baseball shows nice use and a brown patina.
