1929 World Series Game Four Program and Two Uncut Tickets
Crisp artifacts from the 1929 World Series between the Philadelphia Athletics and the Chicago Cubs, with a trio of amazingly bright items. The program is the Shibe Park version, neatly scored in pencil inside (scorecard is not attached), which dates it to Game 4 on October 12, 1929, a 10-8 victory for the A‚s. There is a minor tear on the front cover but the pages remain brilliantly white and it is otherwise in Excellent condition. Also included are a pair of untorn tickets to Games 3 and 4. Though the tickets have residue on back from being stored in an album, again, these are beautifully clean on the display side and look as though they were printed yesterday. After sweeping a pair at Wrigley, Philadelphia won two of three at home to take the title in five games.
