1929 World Series Game One Single-Signed Game Used Baseball by Victor Howard Ehmke
The Philadelphia A‚s made short work of the Chicago Ciubs during a five-game World Series in 1929, and Howard Ehmke got the ball rolling by pitching the A‚s to a Game 1 win, during which he used this very baseball. It is signed by Ehmke on the sweet spot and personalized. On the south panel is the handwritten score and date: "Athletics - 3, Cubs - 1, Oct 8, 1929." The Official National League (Heydler) ball shows game use and is a real treasure. Ehmke still holds the American League record for fewest hits allowed over two starts with one.
