Fascinating collection of (12) news service photographs reporting on millionaire aviator Howard Hughes' exploits in the mid 1930's. Images include: The investigation of possible airplane sabotage by communists in 1935; Hughes being exonerated in a traffic death in 1936; several images reporting Hughes' fastest around-the-world flight including a great photo of the entire crew from 1938; Hughes' 1938 non-stop fight across the American continent. The images measure 6.5 x 8" to 7 x 11" and are in EX to MT condition.
