1930's Hockey Store Display Advertising Figure (12x12x9")
Masterful figure of a hockey player in action instantly breeds respect. In composition or rubber he is a dynamic skater with original real wood hockey stick in hand. Puck is attached to the wood base in glorious colors of the day. His jersey is Toronto Maple Leafs in logo (notice the Leaf on his jersey), while early Montreal Canadiens in color. The leaf reads, "Canadian Club" likely to advertise that tasty brand of liquor when you couldn't get any "legally" in the states because of Prohibition. The whiskey has not affected his play as he leans vigorously into the turn and the piece is simply marvelous. In excellent condition.
