1930 N.L. Champion St. Louis Cardinals Signed Dinner Program with Buster Keaton
September 28, 1930 testimonial dinner program held on the final day of the season had a menu including both fish from Lake Michigan and Pennsylvania Chicken Pie to honor the AL & NL champions before they left for the World Series versus the A’s. All white pages perfectly set off these 35 rich black fountain pen signatures: <b>Frisch</b> (twice), Wilson, Orsatti, Hallahan, Bell, <b>Grimes,</b> Miller, Smith, <b>Hafey, </b>Weaver (trainer), Jim Lindsey & wife, Rhem, Blades & wife, High, <b>Bottomley</b>, Douthit, Gelbert, <b>Haines</b> & wife, Watkins, Wares, Grabowski, Mancuso, Fiskey, Rhem, Johnson, Dyba, Puccinelli, Adams. Perhaps the best signature of all is that of silent film star <b>Buster Keaton</b> most prominently displayed three down from the top on the front cover! Also film star Gilbert Roland and colorful NYC Mayor <b>Jimmie Walker.</b> 8x5.5” with original red tassel string binding, program has some edge creasing but is almost snow white.
