1930 Signed Sports Endorsement Letters (50+) with (2) Wilbert Robinson
Fabulous collection of over 50 typed and handwritten letters for a new product known as “Bigeloil” a rubbing liniment for athletes. The vast majority dates from 1930. They include both acceptance and refusals and the type of stationery is in parenthesis. Baseball<b>:</b> Wilbert Robinson (2), two Kenesaw Landis (Baseball), Charles Comiskey (White Sox), Joe Wood (4-page handwritten), George Weiss (Orioles), Frank Frisch, Charles Stoneham (Giants), Billy Evans (Indians), and more. There are several others on MLB stationeries (Brooklyn Dodger, Braves, Phillies, Reds, Cardinals). Other sports include two Lester Patrick (hockey), Philadelphia Jack O’Brien, Earl Sande and several other horse racing, and many more. There are many other extras such as a photograph of store display window with Wilbert Robinson & John McGraw ad sign and about 50 other pieces.
