1930 Ty Cobb Signed Check with Stub (PSA)
Personal check drawn from the account of Ty Cobb includes the all-time batting average record-holder's signature on front. The original tear stub has been attached to the left edge of the check, which has three folds, measures 8.25x3.125" and is dated April 13, 1930. His familiar Tyrus R. Cobb mark is in what appears to be black (not green) ink in the lower right corner, and the check is drawn from the Georgia Railroad Bank of Augusta, Georgia. Back has cancellation stamp, some age discoloration, and also displays a torn top corner, which has been reattached under the affixed stub portion. Front still presents magnificently, a great memento from shortly after the Georgia Peach retired with an astounding .366 batting average in 24 MLB seasons, a record that still stands. Encapsulated by PSA as Authentic Auto.
