1930 World Cup "Final Game" Winning Ticket

1930 World Cup "Final Game" Winning Ticket

Granting admission to an historic contest, this is a ticket stub to the World Cup final game at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, which was built especially for the tournament, and served as the venue for the First FIFA World Cup final game held on July 30, 1930. There must have been pandemonium in the streets because Uruguay defeated Argentina, 4-2, to win the Jules Rimet trophy. FIFA, football's international governing body, selected Uruguay, as it would be celebrating the country's first centennial and the Uruguay national football team retained their title won at the 1928 Summer Olympics. Ticket stub from the event, PSA authenticated and graded it as FR 1.5.
