1930s Honus Wagner Signed Baseball - Displays as Single-Signed (PSA)
"He [Honus Wagner] was just head-and-shoulders above anyone else in that position [shortstop]," said Babe Ruth when asked to name his all-time baseball team. "He was perhaps the greatest right-handed hitter of all time," continued the Bambino. Presented is a 1930s Honus Wagner signed Official National League Baseball (Frick) that presents as single-signed. Wagner, an Inaugural Hall of Famer, played 21 Major League seasons, almost all with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He won eight National League batting championships, was a 5-time NL RBI leader and a 5-time NL stolen base leader. Wagner led Pittsburgh to the World's Championship in 1909. Wagner was extremely versatile. He often was used at first base, third base, and the outfield. The baseball has Wagner's signature on a single panel so that it can be displayed as a single signed ball. Also signing the ball: Hans Lobert, Pittsburgh Pirate infielder and a good friend of Honus Wagner; Chuck Klein, HOF outfielder who played with Pittsburgh in 1939; Claude Passeau, Pirates' pitcher; possibly Jimmy Weaver (the signature is indistinct), a Pittsburgh pitcher in the 1930s. The Honus Wagner signature is in ink and neatly signed on the top portion of a panel. The ball exhibits some toning and darkening because of the passage of time. The Honus Wagner signature and the other signatures have faded over the years, but except for the possible Jimmy Weaver signature, the signatures are legible. The Wagner autograph is a 6/10, and the other signatures rate about a 5/10. Comes with PSA LOA.
