1931 Mike Gonzales Side Written Bat (35”)
World class lumber from the crafty Cuban-born catcher, one of MLB’s original imports. Mike swung this dark brown beauty to help the Cards overcome the heavily favored A’s, led by Connie Mack, in a dramatic seven game series. His nicely used Hillerich & Bradsby model 125 is inscribed, “Mike Gonzales 9-22-31/ St. Louis Ntnl. League Champs” in light grease pencil.
