Important photo album originates from a swimmer from the Japanese team, packed with magnificent highest quality photos of the team and more. Photos include (all are Olympic, many 8x10"): Staying at the YMCA, entire team in front of their special bus (2), 100m final, Tolan edges Metcalfe, opening ceremonies stadium view, marathon, leaving Yokohama, several of team aboard the ship with a postcard of the SS Shinto Maru, with Native Americans in headdresses, Olympic Parade throughout streets of LA, and more. MISC: Rare Olympic postcards of the posters including a Japanese version we have not seen, signed photo of Hiroshi Hasumi, and more. Total of 96 pieces, including 38 photographs. Great cover.
