1933 Jimmie Foxx Signed Letter Display (24.5x26")

1933 Jimmie Foxx Signed Letter Display (24.5x26")

A gorgeous display to honor one of the greatest sluggers of all time. The letter, dated July 25, 1933 is typed on a plain piece of 8x10” and reads, “Dear Newton: Due to the fact that we have been away so much, this is the first chance I have had to answer your letter. It is encouraging to know that fans such as you are behind us, pulling for us and it only makes us want to work all the harder. We will do our best to come out on top. I am glad to hear you play baseball and I hope some day you will be right up there in the big leagues. With best wishes, I am, Very sincerely yours, ‘Jimmie’ Foxx.” The fountain pen signature is perfect but faded to a brown color. It receives an “8.5” grade out of a possible 10. Paper is lightly and evenly toned. EX-MT. Matted in display with the original mailing envelope (VG) and a photo of the great power hitter swinging in Philadelphia Athletics uniform.
